Mission Statement
Revitalize and Develop East Moline (REDEEM) is a private, 501-c-3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to economic development and redevelopment in the City of East Moline which aids in the growth of the Quad City area. REDEEM is committed to attracting business to East Moline which will retain jobs: create jobs; improve the tax base; and maintain a strong working relationship with the City and other economic development organizations.
Values and Guiding Principles
REDEEM’s values and guiding principles of stewardship, community and integrity have been reflected since our formation in the decisions and activities that we have been involved in since 1991. Our strategic plan builds on our previous strategies and reaffirms our emphasis on improving the well-being of the community and area that we serve.
Vision
Our vision is that we will have positive alignments with the City of East Moline as well as other economic development organizations in the Quad City area. The relationships of our organization as well as these others demonstrate that REDEEM is an integral part of the Quad Cities economic development community. Our alignment with the City will reflect the individual but parallel paths that we follow in the area of economic development and our strategic plan will link with the one that the City will be developing. The REDEEM board will be engaged; act in a cohesive fashion; and reflect the diverse talents and experiences that the board members bring to the table. The funding of our activities will continue to be a mix of contributions as well as Tax Increment Financing (TIF) reimbursement from our increasingly successful projects.
