Foreign Trade Zone

The Quad Cities is a designated Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ). Businesses located within 60 miles or 90 minutes of the Quad Cities Port of Entry can apply to operate in our FTZ and defer, alter or in some cases, eliminate duties on foreign and domestic merchandise.

Small Business Development Center

The local Small Business Development Center along with the Quad Cities Chamber can help companies identify exporting opportunities and advise on best practices, providing:

Free, one-on-one counseling

International market analysis

Identification of foreign buyers, agents, and/or distributors

Seminars and conferences on international business practices, export procedures and trends, distribution practices, and payment methods

Incoming and outgoing trade missions for you to establish international business contacts and prospective customers

Export finance assistance in coordination with the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EX-IM Bank) and SBA's Export Working Capital Program (EWCP)
